Dor · An Aaroh Original · Raksha Bandhan
For Raksha Bandhan, give each other three days — not another gift.
The 2026 season has closed — Dor returns in August 2027.
Five days, door to door. You leave Delhi overnight, spend three days in the Naggar valley across two hotel nights, and are home on the morning of the fifth day — the two travel nights are comfortable overnight road transfers.
Small group, capped at 14 · the 2026 season has closed — enquiries open for August 2027
Dor (डोर) is the bond — honoured each year, held since the day you were born.
The cousins and siblings who always said ‘we should travel’ — and never did.
Dor is built for those people. A morning at a temple in Naggar where the space is yours and the puja thalis are ready before you arrive. A short climb above the valley — the kind of walk where the conversation catches up with the years. A village that has not been rearranged for anyone. A bonfire to close the last evening. And no reason to leave.
Most Raksha Bandhan takes twenty minutes in a living room, between other things. This one takes three days.

Raksha Bandhan
The morning belongs to the ritual — a space set aside at Murlidhar Krishna Mandir, the puja thalis ready and waiting, the temple’s Pujari performing a puja for your wellbeing.
The afternoon belongs to the valley: a short, easy hike up to Jogini through pine. The evening is for Old Manali — its cafés, a good meal, and gifts for the people you love.

Day by day
Delhi, evening
Picked up in Delhi in the evening, with a second stop at Chandigarh — then through the night in a private vehicle sized to the group, to wake up in the valley and arrive straight at the property with the morning.

Naggar
The night was for moving; this day is for stopping. Breakfast and lunch at the property, the pool, the air, and nowhere you need to be — a whole day in the company of people who don’t need you to be impressive. In the evening, a walk through Naggar and neighbouring Nashala if you want it, then dinner back at the property.

Raksha Bandhan
The morning belongs to the ritual — the temple, the thalis, the Pujari’s blessing. The same Rakhi you have tied every year, in a sacred Temple neither of you has stood in before. The afternoon goes to the valley, on the short hike up to Jogini: easy enough to be no trouble, long enough that one of the siblings turns it into a race. Somebody always does. The evening to Old Manali — its cafés, a good meal and gifts. The day the trip was built around.

Soyal
A slow morning and a late check-out — the mountain sets the pace. Then Soyal’s village lanes down to the falls — no climbing today, just water and shade and as long as you want to stay. An orchard afterwards, where the season decides what you get to pick. Dinner, a bonfire, and the kind of talk that runs past midnight. You board for home that night — the same people who arrived, travelling back differently.

Until the next thread

Questions, answered
Who is this for?
Siblings, cousins, the family you grew up with. It’s built around Raksha Bandhan, but it’s really for the group that always meant to travel together and never did.
How hard is the hike?
Easy. The walk up to Jogini is a gentle climb through pine, taken at the valley’s pace — no technical sections, no rush.
Where do you pick up, and how do we travel?
We pick up in Delhi in the evening, with a second stop at Chandigarh. You travel overnight by private vehicle and wake in the valley — the same on the way home.
What if the weather turns?
August in the valley is green and mild, with the chance of rain. We build the days with room to move; anything the weather or the road decides sits outside our hands, and we will always choose safety.
How are rooms shared?
Rooms are twin-sharing at the property, held for the group. Tell us your rooming preference when you enquire and we will confirm what’s possible.
What about taxes?
The 2026 price was ₹29,999 per person, inclusive of all taxes, with nothing added on top. The 2027 price will be confirmed before the season opens.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation charges follow our standard schedule: 10% if you cancel 60 or more days before departure, 25% at 45–59 days, 50% at 30–44 days, 75% at 15–29 days, and 100% within 14 days. If we cancel — including because the journey does not reach its minimum group size — you choose a full refund, another departure, or a travel credit. See the full cancellation policy.
Is alcohol served?
Not at the Aaroh table — our meals are alcohol-free. What you choose to do on your own time is your own.

Your only task is arrival.
